Livestreaming: Coronavirus for Employers

HR Education Network will be livestreaming an updated one-hour and 15 minutes course about how to approach the coronavirus as an employer. The livestream event will be held Friday, March 21 at 9:00 a.m. CST. with many replay dates in the coming weeks!

What Employers Need to Know Regarding Coronavirus Issues

As coronavirus  COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus, spreads throughout the country and concerned citizens start to worry, we’re all faced with difficult situations. However, it’s vital that employers address their involvement in this national crisis and ensure a solid plan of action to keep employees at ease and, most importantly, safe.

This presentation will address what employers need to know regarding coronavirus issues in the workplace, including leave issues (for example, taking leave to take care of a loved one,) working remotely, and other legal implications. The presentation will also touch on new governmental regulations related to workplace procedures during this time.

There are several elements surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic that employers need to know before they start enforcing new protocols in the workplace. We’ll clue you in on federal regulations, employment laws, and how you should advise your employees in a time of crisis.

The presentation will highlight state and federal coronavirus regulations, both passed and proposed, regarding the workplace. This way, employers know their new legal requirements.

Employment Laws

We’ll also highlight the relevant application of existing employment laws to the coronavirus so employers know their existing legal requirements.

Roadmap Plan for crisis

The presentation will provide employers with a roadmap for addressing this crisis in the workplace. This includes regular communication, updates with the staff, and more.
