What is HR Education Network (HREN)?
HR Education Network provides online HR trainings and courses for certified HR professionals seeking recertfication credit or PDCs. HREN also provides HR Certification Test Preparation for HR professionals preparing to take the HR certification exam to become a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
What is it like to attend an HR Education Network course?
At HR Education Network, we create the classroom experience from the comfort of your home or office. Our recertification courses range in length from one hour to four hours in length. All courses are available as live webcasts and live webcasts replays, and must be viewed on a specific date and time. Each course replays multiple times per month for your convenience.
Webcasts are intended for use by individual professionals watching at their own computer, using streaming video technology, provided by our internet ASP.
HR Education Network courses also deliver a unique educational bonus! Instead of a single discussion leader, the majority of our courses are presented by two or more instructors. This provides the viewers with an engaging discussion-based program and the benefit of multiple view points by national HR presenters and practitioners.
All HR Education Network courses employ cutting-edge video webcast technology--a cut above the traditional online audio-only webinars. Participants can also download relevant materials, submit questions to the presenters, and get technical help from our full-time help desk in the event of difficulty.
Are HR Education Network's recertification courses approved for credit by both HRCI® and SHRM?

What does the online HR certification test preparation consist of?
HREN offers two different versions of test preparation to meet your unique needs.
Self-study: The self-study course consists of a brief introductory/overview session, followed by eleven test preparation courses that are approximately 3 hours in length. Each course includes both the video sessions, along with HRCP's online HR Certification Test Preparation materials. The self-study version of our course can be viewed anytime, anywhere, and at your own pace.
Instructor-led: The instructor-led course also consists of a brief introductory/overview session, followed by eleven test preparation courses that are approximately 3 hours in length. Each course includes both the video sessions, along with HRCP's online HR Certification Test Preparation materials. For the instructor-led version, all courses must be viewed on the scheduled date and time (Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m. CST).
This course allows for interaction opportunities with the instructors as well as other participants through our real-time interactive forum. Additionally, participants can submit questions directly to the instructors via the "Ask a speaker" tab. All questions will be answered via email. The course will conclude with a review session, followed by a live Q&A session with instructors.
Will I receive written materials?
One of the most useful facets of HR Education Network programming is the access to relevant slides and materials. Our platform allows participants to log in and download associated materials prior to, or during the event. This is a great way to ensure that participants can recall and apply the most important information from each course.
What about post-course questions?
With HREN, the learning continues after the course is over! HR Education Network courses are unique in the Continuing Education world, in that, after the course is over, you have 48 hours to email questions to the faculty! Speakers will respond to questions and expand on points that you need clarified. No other CE source adds this expanded dimension to their CE programming.
*Note: HREN is not able to guarantee an answer to every question submitted due to the potential volume of such questions and the professional commitments of speakers. Experience to date has been that more than 95% of submitted questions have received at least one faculty response; many receive more than one response.
What if others from my company want to participate as well?
HREN offers discounted pricing and registration options for on-site groups. We will customize a package for you, based on the course selections, and number of professionals who will be watching.
Contact email@example.com with questions or for help registering a group.
